The following are guides as to the achievements which need to be gained in order to pass the year end ARCP

          ARCP 1 (RITA C) Satisfactory Progress    

v  Pass FRCR II B

v  Satisfactory Education Supervisor’s Structured Report

v  Satisfactory Work Based Assessments (currently under review by RCR

      – see next menu option)

v  Satisfactory Appraisal (Multi-Source Feedback or NHS Appraisal)

v  Good Audit portfolio

v  Good teaching record

v  Started research portfolio, at least one publication and some poster

      presentations

v  BLS (Basic Life Support) up-to-date

v  Log book of 4000+ examinations

          ARCP 2 (RITA D) Development of specific competencies

                        required – additional training time not required

v  No FRCR II B

v  Poor supervisor’s report

v  Inadequate completion of Work Based Assessments

v  No Appraisal

v  Poor record of Audit

v  Poor record of Teaching

v  No research nor poster presentations

v  No BLS certificate

v  Log book less that 3000 examinations

          ARCP 3 (RITA E) Inadequate progress by trainee –

                        additional training time required    

v  No FRCR II A

v  Very poor supervisor’s report
