Most radiology Specialist Trainee posts commence from the first Wednesday of August each year. All these posts are for ST1 entry. We encourage applications from F2 doctors, and from those with more experience, in any clinical speciality.
There is a Year 5 Nuclear Medicine approved post, which counts as the first year of the two years of Nuclear Medicine experience required for dual CCT registration for Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology. The post holder experiences a wide and full range of diagnostic nuclear medicine, including cardiac and PET CT.
Any Specialist Trainee interested in pursuing this sub-speciality option should contact Gavin Stoddart. The post is only open to holders of FRCR II B, and to commence after completing 4 years of approved general radiology training with RITA / ARCP certificates covering the full 4 years.
There are two year 5/6 posts, one in Neuro-Radiology and one in Vascular / Intervention. These are advertised nationally when they become vacant.
If you are already on a recognised radiology training scheme, with a training number, and would like to transfer to the Severn School of Radiology, please contact Gavin Stoddart . We need to know :-
