R-ITI e-learning sessions

The R-ITI (Radiology Integrated Training Initiative) is an on-line training programme which covers the entire syllabus of the FRCR exams. It has over 800 modules which cover each of the speciality modules. It includes sessions on radiological physics. Each module takes approximately 30 minutes to work through, but they are of variable length. The sessions are a mixture of text, images, and self directed learning. In effect it is an electronic radiology textbook

R-ITI is a collaboration between the Royal College of Radiologists, the Department of Health and the NHS. It provides an innovative learning solution combining traditional proven teaching models with state of the art technology. The Integrated Training Initiative delivers a new approach to training radiologists, increasing capacity to meet demand without putting additional strain on current resource.

The Electronic Learning Database is an integrated learning environment that covers all aspects of radiology practice and supports trainees through access to tutors, mentors and collaboration tools.

The R-ITI can be accessed on line from hospital or from any home computer with broadband. You need to get your username and password - currently from Dr Huw Roach at BRI.
